Co founder supporting programme development and community engagement, with a focus on practical support for young people in Peterborough.
Ibrahim Wanas is a co founder of the organisation.
His journey started from the ground up. He began in barbering, worked hard to build his skills, and in 2020 opened his first barbershop. As the business grew, he moved into a bigger premises and built the team into what is now Ritzy Barbers. That experience taught him leadership, responsibility, and what it takes to build something from nothing.
Since then, Ibrahim has been involved in other ventures, including property development, a flooring company, and other projects behind the scenes. Business has taught him discipline, commitment, communication, and how to lead people properly.
Growing up was not easy. He was raised in a single parent household, which meant he learned responsibility early. He understands what it means to look for opportunities and not always find them, and that is a big part of why he does this work today.
His strengths are leadership, mentoring, communication, and staying steady when things get tough. He believes in leading by example and creating environments where people feel supported, while also being pushed to grow.
What drives Ibrahim most is knowing there are young people who just need a real chance. He wants to help create the opportunities he struggled to find himself. He believes young people are the future, and that backing them properly helps build a stronger future for everyone.
For Ibrahim, this work is personal. It is about real impact, real growth, and creating change that lasts.
