Co founder using barbering and mentoring to build confidence, discipline, and real options for young people in Peterborough.
Asprilla is a co founder of the Ritzy Foundation, focused on helping young people build confidence through practical skills, mentoring, and community work. Born in Kenya and raised in the United Kingdom from a young age, he understands what it feels like to adapt, find your place, and carry the pressure that can come with growing up between worlds.
His background is rooted in barbering and youth work. Over the years, he has used vocational skills as a route into discipline, self belief, and better choices. He has delivered barbering programmes in schools and community settings, running one day sessions as well as longer programmes, supporting young people to learn the craft while building responsibility and pride in what they can do.
Those sessions made something obvious. Young people respond when the support is structured, consistent, and actually relevant to their lives. That is a big part of why the foundation exists. Asprilla stays hands on with delivery, shaping programmes that feel real, accessible, and built around what young people in Peterborough are asking for.
